Sara Zak is a Western New York multi-media artist working across all subject matter but particularly enjoys the figurative tradition. Her oil paintings embrace robust attention to color and brushwork. She is currently an instructor of drawing and painting at SUNY Fredonia and Villa Maria College. She holds an MFA from the University of Buffalo. She is honored to be a NYSCA 2023 fellow. Her work can be found in the collections of the Albright Knox Art Gallery, the Burchfield Penney Art Center, University at Buffalo Art Galleries, and Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
