Morning Light

September 17 - October 29

I get up early to see the morning light. I love that time of day and it inspires my paintings.

Upon encountering a horizon of periwinkle sky, the feeling of mystery is evoked within an isolated terrain. Gary Kyte’s purple-blue hue and anecdotal homes drive a sense of serenity throughout a rustic landscape enriched with deep shadows and subtle highlights. While Gary’s unique palette is guided by his adoration for dawn, one can be reminded of the same radiance exhibited at dusk. The lacing of stillness within his portraits encapsulates the solitude of time beginning and ending.
