Pareidolic Muse

– its your eyes..
Combining the words pará to mean ‘alongside’ and eidolon ‘beyond image or form’, Pareidolia is finding imagery in random data.
When looking at the clouds we assign a very personal figurative language.
Something we all experience yet rarely address.
Instinctually, pareidolias are created by our minds using involuntary imagination.
Your personal invention within a myriad of scenes, dependent on the climate of your life.
Pareidolia provides a shelter for exploration.
As we are inspired by the character and texture of life and use, innate forms reveal themselves to the viewer.
The safety in defining our abstractions is the rule to authenticity
I have long been inspired by the evidence of pareidolia in my everyday life. I learned the Japanese alphabet – Hiragana by using pareidolic images. We charted the stars and land with illusionary marks.
Pareidolia is also used in medical and art schools, art therapy and psychotherapy.
I employ you to find yourself on this pareidolic spectrum wherein anything can be your muse.
